Soulard Farmers Market is the oldest public market in St. Louis. It was founded in 1779, and it now operates year-round every Wednesday through Saturday. It has 140+ vendors that attract the St. Louis community. However, there are no current digitalized aspects of the farmer’s market.
Soulard Farmers Market is a mobile pre-ordering app specifically for Soulard Farmer’s Market. On the app, shoppers can reserve items and then go to the market to pick up their orders. The goal of the mobile app is to make trips to the market more efficient and streamlined; shoppers can see which vendors are open before going, and also make sure that what they want to buy does not sell out beforehand. It also gives insight to vendors about their most popular items.
